Pretty ironic that the Nats may have returned the favor of messing up a season. While we still most likely get the wild card, worst case, there is a chance that none of the favorites in the NL win their division.

Seriously? While Madden has made some questionable moves at times, who really is producing at a good rate and not getting playing time? Bottom line is it rarely seems to matter who gets playing time lately. The whole team right now is very average at best. Very little timely hitting....or hitting period. Starters can’t pitch past the 5th. Relievers can’t get guys out. Defense has been less than stellar. Madden may not be managing at his best, but his players have been nowhere near their best for most of the season, save a couple of players. He put Carl Edwards into a tie game with guys on 2nd and 3rd.

Reality. You realize that THREE teams would have to pass us in the standings for that to happen, right? Fangraphs has us as 99.9% to make the playoffs.
