  1. THEY CAN'T HURT US IF WE HURT US FIRST. I live my relational life this way I think. And I'm a therapist. :-$
  2. I tried this yesterday and David and others pointed out that they are actually slightly below average at hitting LHP when you adjust for park effects horsefeathers David and his pedantry and advanced metrics. I'm sticking by this. And I'm gonna go all Smoltzy on you guys and say the Rockies have more heart.
  3. Lester 3IP, 4 ER. That's conservative against a team that ops's .800 against LHP.
  4. Of course, you can't have the Cubs Rockies off for too long.
  5. There is literally no way we are scoring 7 runs in a game again this calendar year.
  6. I only have 5ish friends who are actual fans I’d say and them some family. The rest are extremely casual and only pay attention around the last month when the Brewers are good (which obviously isn’t often). All but 1 were cheering for the Cubs in 2016..... that being said horsefeathers them all, crush them in the DS and I’ll be rooting for the Rockies if it’s not us there. The problem is it's not just friends. It's everywhere. At work, I hear them talking about the Brewers. Outside of work, I hear people talking about the Brewers. I don't have any experience with hating any other fan base than this one. The Brewers ruin my baseball enjoyment because of my obsession of hoping they lose throughout the season and my panic attacks of them possibly making the playoffs. I got some real issues. I live in Denver so I’ll def be rooting for the Rockies if we lose. It’d be fun to go to a playoff game here at coots and root against the brewers
  7. Yea no horsefeathering way in hell any of them were rooting for the cubs nor am I rooting for the brewers ever. I may be inclined to believe that they were moderately sincere in being happy for me since they are some of my best friends in the world. I’m sure they were rooting against the whole time though. horsefeathers em, nothing would be sweeter than crushing their spirits at wrigley north.
  8. arguably worse. vasgersian a-rod and that lady a LADY ugh. nevermind. horsefeathers it i'm not watching the game anymore I like Mendoza 8-[
  9. (I will say despite them detesting the cubs, they were gracious and actually seemed genuinely happy for me at least in 2016. I’m probably either not as good of a person or not as fake of a person as the congrats we’re texted and I couldn’t see/hear tone/sincerity)
  10. This might be awful to say, but I’d rather lose tomorrow than win, and lose in the nlds to the brewers. Going to school in Madison, I have far too many friends who are brewers fans and I don’t think I could handle it.
  11. [tweet] [/tweet]
  12. I’d rather not use anyone we might need tomorrow w/a 5 run lead
  13. How am I nervous in a 5 run game in the 8th?
  14. I’d punt a cat for a kB >/= double AB here.
  15. Call a horsefeathering strike you blind piece of horsefeathers
  16. Walk the .600 ops guy. Jesus can’t he throw the horsefeathering ball down the middle of the plate?
  17. JD is like night and day more pleasurable than smoltz
  18. I’ve called the cubs losers multiple times on FB - that’s gonna be embarrassing
  19. This is gonna be the opposite of brewers/tigers where the cubs tease us all day and then don’t come through in the end.
  20. Why do I think this game is over after the top of the 1st? And that Milwaukee is gonna crush Detroit?
  21. You know they’re gonna score in the bottom here
