  1. Dusty probably just didn't want to let the pitcher batting .077 bat with the bases loaded and 1 out for fear of a double play.
  2. Why is Macias always the first man off the bench? ](*,)
  3. neifi hit a chopper straight over the pitcher and high enough that there was no play Thanks.
  4. For those of us without CSN, please explain what happened. Thank you.
  5. Is the strike zone really as tiny as Sportsline shows it?
  6. Never doubt the Astros. Last week it was Pedro Martinez vs. Ezequiel Astacio. Pedro pitched like his usual self, but Astacio mowed down the Mets. The Astros won that game. Yes, the Astros won against the Mets 'pen. The point I was trying to make was that the Mets should have lit Astacio up. I'm talking 5-7 runs off him.
  7. Never doubt the Astros. Last week it was Pedro Martinez vs. Ezequiel Astacio. Pedro pitched like his usual self, but Astacio mowed down the Mets. The Astros won that game. At some point the better pitcher is going to win out, why not tonight? I'm not doubting you. I'm just pointing out that the team with the "better" pitcher doesn't always win.

  9. That's what good leadoff hitters can do, beat out little dribblers!
  10. Not the way he's hitting since the All Star Break. Before that, maybe. He's actually been hitting pretty good since he changed his number to 24.
  11. Yea, but just because all the cool teams are doing it. Mariano Rivera is the only guy left that can wear #42, right? Personally, I think retiring 42 for all 30 teams was ridiculous. The only team that should have it retired is the Dodgers. Let players wear it on the other 29 teams to honor Robinson. Pardon my stupidity, but was retiring 42 for all the teams another one of Bud Selig's bright ideas?
  12. Go Nomar, Wood, and Williamson!
  13. I'm sure we wouldn't hate Hawk as much if his calls weren't so annoying. "He gone!" "You can put it on the booooooooooard!! Yeah!!" That, and the fact that he calls the White Sox the good guys and whoever they're playing the bad guys. The same, stale, overused calls get annoying after a while. I've also never heard Santo call anything BS.
  14. And you expect Corey to do better?
  15. From Walker's page on Cubs.com. I don't believe he gets hammered by lefties.
  16. DLee up with the bases loaded.
  17. At least the Crapstros are losing 6-4.
  18. 13-6 now. The Diamondbacks let a pop up drop, but were able to force Macias out at second.
  19. 13-5 now. Isn't a little late to just now be figuring out how to score runs, but if we can keep scoring at least 5 runs a game the rest of the season, I'll be happy.
