  1. Does the sample size argument only work when it is directed toward Floyd? When did Murton become the LF of the future? All throughout Spring Training, Lou said that Murton would be the main LFer.
  2. Since he hasn't been all that great, Lou probably wants to get him into a game where there's not as much pressure.
  3. I think its pretty obvious that they can. The Cubs could be winning Game 7 of the World Series 275-0 with 2 outs and nobody on in the 9th inning with an 0-2 count on the hitter, and they'd still find a way to blow it.
  4. Dang I wish I got the game on TV. :x
  5. Come on, Lee! Time for your first homer of the year!
  6. Why not? He's an easy out if he gets on base. If he gets on base here, a run would most likely score.
  7. Come on, Soriano! Make 'em pay!
  8. They have this guy named Fernando Nieve in AAA who should've been their 5th starter to start the season. IIRC, he had a pretty dang good spring.
  9. Looks like Beltran's off to a slow start.
  10. Didn't Mulder pitch a 10-inning complete game for the Cardinals in 2005?
  11. In who's eyes? In your eyes. In my eyes the ace is the pitcher Im most confident in from start to start and right now it's hands-down Rich Hill and has been since September. I think most of us have been convinced. I was pissed that he didn't start today so that Z could stay close to his normal rest. He's been one of the more dominant starters in the league for about a half season, and a strong finish to 07 will cement him as being a legit #1. It's too bad those who count don't quite see it the same way. Didn't the Cubs push Hill back to tomorrow so Z could stay on normal rest? His last start before today was the 7th, so he was on his normal 4 days rest.
  12. The Cubs suck. This is a guaranteed loss.
  13. If the third pitch to Lee was where CBS Sportsline showed it, that ball should be on Waveland right now.
