  1. Because the Cubs are hoping to fool other teams into trading for Miller by making it appear he can be a decent starter.
  2. This is one of the few times you can't blame them for being aggressive.
  3. When can we get rid of Miller and make Guzman the 5th starter?
  4. Like I said, this is typical Cubs. A star player gets hurt, so the offense goes insane for the remainder of the game, then the team curls up and dies. Ha. Remember the day D. Lee got injured? we had a comeback win. Yeah. Didn't we also do that when Nomar tore his groin and when Prior got beaned on the elbow?
  5. I accidentally left my 06 BP hat at home this weekend and had to turn to my old regular home cap for my during-game wear tonight. I'm taking credit for this. I got abdominal pain this morning. Can I take credit? A strange bump appeared on my leg this morning. I'd like a share of the credit.

  7. No, but we can still get excited whenever Marquis pitches well because it's unexpected.
  8. Great job Marquis! Now sit down and let the bullpen take it from here.
  9. Stop that, Marquis. Finish this inning, then take a seat.
  10. Because people on this board are crazy. Duh. We have to be crazy to follow this team.

  12. That's because he used to be a position player.
  13. every cub will be hurt an inordinate amount of time on every occassion. there are no exceptions. the cubs cannot stay healthy, at least their good players. Yep. Neifi and Macias never seemed to get hurt.
  14. What exactly does that mean? :?
  15. With Pie off to such a hot start in AAA, is there a chance that Jones gets traded and they are seeing if Murton can play right just in case? I agree....Pie is hitting .430+ in the early going, and his defense would be a welcomed addition. He's a better option than shuffling players into unfamiliar positions. Then again, I'm confident that JJ will come around (as will Sori)...hopefully tonight! Yeah. I just hope Jones doesn't wait until after the All-Star Break to start hitting like he did last year.
  16. I blame Pujols for my loss again this week. That guy just sucks.
  17. Marquis, you better provide some offense, because your teammates aren't going to give you any!
  18. Threatening to bench? I'm guessing Izzy and Floyd. Floyd better get benched in favor of Murton!
