No they weren't. Their pitching was bad. Worse than St. Louis for sure. Find me a single statistic that supports this, and maybe you'll have an argument. Mets had a better ERA, better ERA+, fewer hits given up, more strikeouts, more shutouts, more CGs, fewer HRs allowed, heck, more wins and saves, if you follow that crowd. No, you go find it. I dont care enough. Mets suck. You may not like them, but to say they suck is a blatant lie.

No they weren't. Their pitching was bad. Worse than St. Louis for sure. Their offense was much, much better than the Cardinals. They won more games than any other NL team. They were the best last year.

The 2006 Cardinals were not a fluke. How is an 83-win team winning the World Series not a fluke? The Mets were clearly the best team in the NL last year.

Better bench Murton forever, then! Stop being dramatic. I'm just saying, through what I've seen of the season, Floyd's been a better player. And we NEED to win right now, not play Murton for the heck of it. You disagree with either of those statements? There don't seem to be many people who think we can win this year. Everyone is like "Floyd is old, what happens then?" Right now, Floyd is producing, Murton isn't. In this weak division, anyone can win, and as last year showed, all you need to do is make the playoffs and then ANYTHING can happen. Really? How often does a inferior team win the WS. Last one I can think of before last year was 88 Dodgers and than 85 Royals. 06 Cardinals. He said before last year.
