I don't remember how many years but I heard yesterday that it has been a LONG time since they all lost on the same day. Is IU on top of the Big 10 right now, along with MSU?

What I don't get is why people say Ty was forced out. He forced himself out by losing. Any football program who has a coach that is not meeting their expectations should fire him. Why settle with mediocrity? Nebraska fired Solich after winning 9 games, and there wasn't near the outcry as when ND fired Ty, after having two straight seasons without winning more than 6 games. Ty was a terrible coach, which Washington is now learning. However he has a real low handicap on the golf course. :wink:

The stadium is supposed to be awesome. I remember when I was there a big deal was being made about the price of the lights. Alot of people thought it would be better spent elsewhere.

I know that. I was being sarcastic with that based on a previous post by hawk where he went into great length making it clear he would not leave Iowa. However I put this in the wrong thread on accident. Should have been in Wake up the Echos.

Hawkeye: I just read a Michigan board and they were discussing Ferentz coming to coach for UM. They want Carr gone after today. Any chance something like that would happen? I think I remember a post of yours earlier implying he would be in Iowa for a long time.

When I was down there BSU had the longest losing streak in the nation! That is one pathetic FB team. I do remember one game when the goal posts got tore down, but I can't remember for the life of me who they played (maybe Toledo). I know the posts ended up in the Duck Pond, and someone got hit by them and went into a coma, which lead to a lawsuit agains BSU. ANyway the point was BSU football sucks. I just reread your post, they scored 31 points :shock:

Thanks. Its always better to hear from a fan who watched the game than just watching highlights. I caought the end of the LSU game. That was a great fourth quarter. Wish I could have watched the whole thing.

I just got off work and missed the Iowa and OSU game. I know the scores, but how were the games? I doubt any rivaled ND's victory :D Did Iowa losing Tate pretty much seal their fate, or were they already getting beat pretty bad at the time? Was OUS/Texas as good as the score made it look. Also USC/Georgia-was that a good one? Fill me in please. I hate my job during FB season.

Thats all Nd needs though. Everyone will say they should have lost, and won due to a bad call (which really was not bad) damn ND fumbles. this game is making me go insane. He looked down though

I looked like he was throwing it away on that 4th and goal! I'm not complaining about it, but I was shocked at how bad that pass was. Quinn has not looked great today either. If he hit a few of those open recievers he over/under threw ND could have a much greater lead.

VT's schedule sucks. they play lot of Duke like teams. They are not a Championship team but they have a championship schedule. Two of my best friends are die hard VT fans. We constantly argue over the weakness of their schedule. One of them actually tried to tell me Duke was underrated.

They cut to some highlights. I believe they said his arm is catching up with his feet, and called him the right handed Michael. Didn't move ball, big punt return. ND scores here game is over. I am starting to think ND can pull it off.

I could never understand how they lost 3 games last year, a few of their main players, and moved up to #4 preseason. However I can see it now if ND wins "ND can't beat a real team because everyone they played was overrated"

ND 14 Mich 3 Never thought I would see that. I really hope they can keep it up, but not holding my breath. Ive been let down too many times before.
