    There was a small argument during the rain delay July 5th in Flashchat. It was rather you are surprised at the Cubs "sucking" or not. I am surpreised b/c 4/5 of our pitching staff is made up of Cy Youngs or Cy Young potential candidates and our lineup has potential power. I guess the key word is potential an the Cubs just aren't living up to it. What do you think?

    I know its not a reliable source, but 2 members of Yahoo said in a chatroom said that the Reds rejected an offer that would send Corey to Cincy for Austin Kearns. Did anyone hear this or have a reaction?

    A game against LA during our hotstreak (was a holiday): Jon Miller and Joe Morgan broadcasting - Lee 0-4 Sunday night baseball 8-1 loss to the Red Sox Lee had a horrible game July 4th- 4-0 loss to atlanta Lee 0-4 I think we won the LA game but the rest were losses and Lee is like 0-12 when Miller and Morgan broadcast

    As being of the name, Aramis Fan, I feel that it is my duty to start a thread about Aramis Ramirez the first time all-star here in 2005. Aramis is great and I hope we have him and Lee at the corners of the infield for years to come. It could be a beautiful thing. I also feel special for witnessing Aramis' first game as a Cubs but not special that he went 0-4 that night. :lol:

    OK so maybe Soriano isn't the best option. But I'd have to think Texas could give us some offense in a position we need. Texas scores a lot of runs per game and they NEED pitching. Maybe they could give us an outfielder. Mench possibly?

    Uh, he doesn't want to play OF (He rejected playing it in Texas) and likely doesn't want to leadoff. We already have two 2B why would we need a third one with a crappy attitude True but Hairston can also play OF and Todd Walker would be great of the bench or he could start in games where he has had great success vs. the starter. I know this is the wrong thread bu if we had Soriano, MY lineup would be: Hairston (CF) Soriano (2B) Ramirez (3B) Lee (1B) Burnitz (RF) Barrett © Hollandsworth (LF) Neifi (SS) pitcher's spot When Nomar returns, he is 3rd with Ramirez behind Lee

    Well I'm not sure if Soriano would leadoff (I think he did with the Yankees), but the Rangers need pitching and it seems they would be more likely to trade Soriano then an OF.     The Cubs have really got to play well in their next three series: July 1-3 vs. Nationals) July 4-7 @ Braves July 8-10 @ Marlins July 11 - Home Run Derby July 12 - All-Star Game We have to face Livan Hernandez and possibly Dontrelle here. Hopefully, we take 3 of 4 from Atlanta to possible lead the WC. After these series, we have 1 game off and then the ASG (w/hopefully Lee and Aram). Does n e 1 know if Lee will be in the Home Run Derby which would be on the Cubs day off before the ASG. Then only 1 other day off and then a makeup with PIT. The Cubs need to get on a roll!
