I'd actually do that if you could guarantee Turner could stay healthy What am I missing? Even if Turner doesn't always stay healthy, don't we do that? I don’t think the Nats would say yes.

He’s had much better at bats tonight though.

Descalso has been dealing with an ankle issue (I think or some sort of leg issue) for like 2 weeks now. He was basically only a PH for the last homestand. He’s not that good or important enough to not IL when horsefeathers like that happens to him. He allegedly is finally healthy now, Bote still has a literal broken toe too. I mean Descalso has started the last two games at second base.

I’m not sure why Descalso would need IL time, he’s been playing and looking healthy to me. I’d swap Bote or Zagunis for Happ just for the hell of it.
