Number of April MLB rainouts in the past decade 2011: 17 2010: 2 2009: 12 2008: 10 2007: 26 2006: 8 2005: 11 2004: 12 2003: 15 2002: 10 2001: 5 2000: 18 http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/post/foul-weather-plaguing-major-league-baseball/2011/05/12/AFljOP2G_blog.html I don't remember 2007 being THAT bad, but I feel that we've seen less sun this year, all throughout the league. Was 2007 really THAT bad ?? That's an average of 1.73 rainouts per team for the the month. Compared to this year, when we had 1.0 rainout. Compared to the other years in the decade though, it just kind of pops off the chart.

You have to admit there's been an abnormal amount of rain during this MLB season for some reason... and it's more frustration than being "weirded out." No worries, the game is on WGN, so I won't be near a computer when watching. :D

Byrd has a 15 game hitting streak, Soriano is about the only power threat in the lineup at this point, and Fukudome is hitting .350+
