  1. that Red making his ML debut will have 3 hits minimum.
  2. Byrd can not be hitting in the middle of this lineup. Dude hits more ground balls than anyone I've ever seen.
  3. has a closer ever given up 2 grand slams in one season?
  4. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110901&content_id=24049752&vkey=affililiate&c_id=chc Didn't see it posted anywhere else congrats to him
  5. The "first basemen" in this game are Jeff Baker and Mark Derosa, lol.
  6. 2 of Colvin's "homers" this year have come off guys that have given up less than 5 all season (Madson/Axford)... his homer off Madson was wrongly ruled a double. Try to figure that out...
  7. This thread is a great example of the disaster that NSBB has become.
  8. Byrd has no business hitting in a run producing spot in the lineup.
  9. request granted: http://www.sendspace.com/file/itkh79
  10. Cubs/Brewers in late 2008 when Soto hit a 3 run shot to tie the game is the last such win I can remember.
  11. It's funny - I was watching sportscenter the day of Campana's ITP HR and the anchor said something like "that is the first Cubs inside the park homerun since 1948" or something ridiculous. I can remember Soto's, Lee's, and one from Sosa in the early 2000s off the top of my head. Sad, sad research.
  12. I guess we're going to find out exactly how magical this streak is...
  13. it's like the good old 2011 Cubs (giving up RBIs and HRs to no name scrubs) battling against the 7-game win streak swagger Cubs.
  14. SWEET JUSTICE this doesn't happen to the cursed Cubs we know... playoffs here we come!
  15. screw the ivy! and yes, I'm an idiot about the Byrd thing
  16. But that Ramirez drive can't fall into the basket? Ugh
  17. He's 2 for 2 so far. =D> in fairness, I posted that after the 2nd hit
  18. It's good to see his power developing a little... helps my fantasy team too!
  19. gonna be funny when Byrd goes 5-5 with 5 bloop hits and sun aided doubles and everyone (N&G) uses that against me
  20. But this is Soriano's 2nd off day in the last week and he's been even hotter, no?
  21. Castro 6 Campana 7 Ramirez 5 Pena 3 Byrd 8 DeWitt 4 Soto 2 Colvin 9 Wells 1 As much as Campana deserves another start, how about giving mr. groundballtoshort (Byrd) another day off?
