Ok, well OBVIOUSLY, the 2011 World Series is far, far more heartbreaking but if I said "no other team snatches defeat from the jaws of victory as often" or something, some one would have brought it up. The most frustrating part is that this is a team with fairly low expectations anyway and they should really be close to .500, and they're losing not because they're getting blown out, but because nothing goes their way.

Not in this case where they were facing one of the more dominant closers in the league, but OK.

You've got to be [expletive] kidding me. I can't imagine what you'd be like if you were fan of one of the many teams that has been consistently far worse than the Cubs for the past 20 years. It's more than just losing. It's coming to the cusp of winning so many times and failing every time. The only comparable recent situation is the 2011 Rangers World Series.

More terrible managing by Svuem. Hairston should have hit there. Would rather have him vs RHP than Schierholtz vs. LHP. Guess it doesn't matter when Soriano swings at pitches that were never strikes.

The little things are the big things... Castillo's inability to make the 1-1 look like the strike that it was tipped the AB in Choo's favor.
