With the exception of the 7-6 win at Arizona, the offense has been pretty bad post all-star break. "Stretch of failure" was poor wording. Many of the wins have been thanks to the pen.
As much as that was a problem pre the Strop/Guerrier moves, the offense has been a MUCH bigger problem in the more recent stretches of failure. Svuem not knowing how to manage a bullpen automatically makes the pen worse, too.
You do realize that scouts watch the games right? They don't simply discount a guy because they see a BS in the box score. Yes, and for the past several weeks he's been giving up bullets all over the park and getting saves in spite of it.
