  1. So many games this season the offense has gone down without a whimper in the 1st only for our starter to throw 40 pitches.
  2. It’s truly amazing how good this team is despite the rotation.
  3. Gonna be a lot of Jesse Chavez today.
  4. Worst first inning elite team of all time. 2 years running.
  5. Why the hell is he still playing? He can barely run. Horrible outing by Montgomery. He probably had no chance of staying in the rotation anyway, but this should clinch it.
  6. i'd like him to wally pipp seal boy honestly Without question he should be on the roster over TLS.
  7. What happened? I am watching on Gameday Heyward hit a slow roller to short that appeared as if a slow runner would beat out. Ahmed made a barehand play and got him by a full step.
  8. Rough series. Hopefully St. Louis remembers they suck.
  9. This would be one ugly but much needed win.
  10. We have too many guys putting together bad ABs in big spots - when it’s the pitcher who should feel the pressure. I think of that back to back Baez/Contreras sequence over the weekend and now Russell. You’re up 2-0 in that spot, take at least one more. As stated above, his swing changed the whole AB and inning. You picked 2 isolated examples during a month long stretch where the Cubs are killing it with RISP Fair enough. With the offense struggling at the moment, it’s just frustrating to see them come away with one in what should’ve been a big inning.
  11. What does this mean? We have too many guys putting together bad ABs in big spots - when it’s the pitcher who should feel the pressure. I think of that back to back Baez/Contreras sequence over the weekend and now Russell. You’re up 2-0 in that spot, take at least one more. As stated above, his swing changed the whole AB and inning.
  12. The Cubs need a lesson on who should feel the pressure in a high leverage spot - pitcher or hitter. Everyone but Zobrist needs to take the class apparently.
  13. Recent trends: -Bryant probably headed back to DL -Baez exiting tonight’s game after taking slide to knee -Cishek sucking On the positive, Chavez has looked good I guess.
  14. They do look a lot like the 2015 and 2017 NLCS, I’ll give you that.
  15. First two pitches were perfect, nothing you can do after that.
