I don’t want Quintana anywhere near a playoff start: you just don’t know when he’s going to give up a crooked number. At least with Montgomery you get mostly soft contact and not an automatic out at the plate.

An abundance of caution. Giving him an extra day of rest cuz he was pulled with a sore back last game. Oh yeah. I somehow forgot about that. Probably because it wasn’t last game, it was 2 starts ago.
