  2. Wasn't the pen suppose to be solid this year?
  3. I wonder if they try to hit a couple of batters in the 9th.
  4. I was wrong. tHAT 8-16 START was in 2002, so my bad. And I went back over the 2003 start, and the Cubs went 14-12, don't count the March 31st game. But my point remains the same, this "slow start" myth needs to be thrown out the door. And 10-14 last year.
  5. So we lose by 2 instead of 4? I'm just trying to be realistic. At least we'll have a manageable shot in the 9th. And still lose...
  6. So we lose by 2 instead of 4?
  7. How many times are we going to hit these guys?
  8. how are we only 2 game out of first place?
  9. Here's where the Brewers put this game away.
  10. So this year every run we've scored has been on a homer.
  11. I agree with this. Hopefully Sheets gets hurt again. Braun and Fielder too.
  12. The problem is, the Brewers a year older and a year better, and are less likely to colapse as bad as they did last year, and with Dempster on the mound tommorow, a sweep is likely, and thats giving these guys a lot of momentum. Then we take the Wildcard! The problem with that idea is, the other 2 divisions actually have good teams. Then pray for Brewer injuries.
  13. Walk Kendell to get to Weeks. Good plan.
  14. It's the Cubs...It's always hard.
