    That joke has already been made, and it wasn't funny either time. I didn't read the entire thread. As to whether or not it was funny, that is a matter of opinion. That doesn't surprise me. Do you ever read, or do you just go around posting thousands of messages everyday?

    Hopefully he'll replace Samardzija in Peoria when it's time for Jeff to go back to ND. Haha, these posts were from July 16 and 17 of last year on the first page of this thread - and in less than a year, Billy Petrick is in the big leagues. Even funnier, I thought you were making a joke about Samardzija going back to ND to play football. If that makes any sense. ------- Unrelated, I don't see how it is possible for the Cubs are calling Samardzija's pitches. Anyway, what does it really matter? He's in the bullpen now. I thought he was starting again. Hasn't he won his last 2 starts?

    I know I'll probably be run-off for this, but what would you think about getting him. Texas isn't going anywhere this season, and CF is a need. Kenny is having a pretty good year. What do you think it would take to get him, and would you want him?

    So I guess this does not need to be posted in transactions? There's no transaction to report yet; just our speculation. All that we know factually is that he isn't starting for Iowa tonight as originally scheduled. The rest is us inferring the reason. That hasn't stopped anyone before.

    Len and Steve... that'd be an awesome team! IMHO, that would be the best booth in baseball. Although I have grown to like Brenly now, too. I'd like to see the return of Gracie. I've listened to him from time to time, he's pretty good. Ex-Cubs seem to do well -- Sutcliffe is listenable, too. Well alright, except for Carter :D Grace is pretty terrible IMO

    Should he drop his appeal and serve his suspension now? The Cubs next 4 games are against the Nats and the Pirates. This seems like a good time for the team to be without him. He is also struggling of late. What do you think?
