  1. IF hits aside, Lidge isn't looking too hot.
  2. Not that it matters in the standings, but with the recent shellackings (sp?) the Brewers now have a +1 run differential on the season.
  3. Hart SF, 2-0 Brewers in the 5th.
  4. The Cubs and Brewers both have 52 losses... The problem with the Brewers is that over 46% of their offense is homerun dependent. How's that a problem? It's a problem because they aren't able to score enough runs, on most days, to win when they don't hit homers. It's not a well rounded offense. The way some people are talking, the Brewers should have fewer loses and more wins. They've out homered the Cubs by 64 (and two players combine for 52). The Brewers have scored 26 more runs (and it would sometimes be nice to get a run without needing an extra batter). Wins and loses are a function of RS and RA, no?
  5. Fielder and Braun have gone deep tonight... Fielder and Braun have a combined 52 HR. To get to 53 HR for the Cubs you need to combine Soriano, Ramirez, Lee, and DeRosa.
  6. Lefties (Park Factor 138) hit more HR there than RHB (PF 110).
  7. What about Lou's statement about not pitching Dempster against the Mets has Lou forgotten?
  8. Aha! The fix WAS in!
  9. You know what they call those girls this game - "happy". happy to be at the game...or to just be on TV while they talk to their friends on the phone Happy to not care about the outcome.
  10. You know what they call those girls this game - "happy".
  11. The Phillies OF are not too good. Looks like the Brewers may well sweep the Phils.
  12. From BP's Hitlist...
  13. At least we weren't UP by 3 runs going into the 9th before this.
  14. I think the umpring has been poor as well, but the Cubs only took 1 walk with that zone... vs 11.
  15. I'm worried about a Delgado HR here...
  16. And he jacked that double with a choked up bat!
  17. Let's get Marmol off the hook and get him or Wood a win.
