  1. Marquis has a dynamite resume for the job.
  2. True, I was just surprised to see he was projected as one of the three best NL pitchers. Really? Hes amazing, but has just been hurt so everyone forgets about him. He is just as good if not better when healthy than Carp, Peavy, and Z. His K rate is phenomenal, all the young MIL position players should be on the tail end of acclimating to the bigs, and the NL Central sucks. If healthy that should be good for 20 wins. Webb - 14-11, 225 inn, 177k, 67 bb, 3.61 EqERA, 3.69 ERA Carpenter - 14-9, 201 inn, 162k, 48 bb, 3.71 EqERA, 3.38 ERA Peavy - 13-8, 197 inn, 202k, 55bb, 3.58 EqERA, 3.27 ERA Zambrano - 13-11, 215.3 inn, 210k, 92 bb, 3.94 EqERA, 3.79 ERA Oswalt - 14-10, 213 inn, 163k, 50 bb, 3.89 EqERA, 3.69 ERA Sheets - 12-8, 170.7 inn, 170k, 30 bb, 3.43 EqERA, 3.36 ERA

  4. I was hoping Sheets would go under the radar. Pecota loves him.
  5. Run on aces alert/thanks Vance.
  6. Your avatar, however, is an amazing issue. Two amazing issues. There are too many amazing things about my avatar to count.
  7. 1-1) Albert Pujols 1-2) Jose Reyes 1-3) Johan Santana 1-4) Alfonso Soriano 1-5) Alex Rodriguez 1-6) Carlos Beltran 1-7) Ryan Howard 1-8) Miguel Cabrera 1-9) Carl Crawford 1-10) Chase Utley 1-11) Derrek Lee 1-12) Chris Carpenter 2-1) David Wright 2-2) Lance Berkman 2-3) Grady Sizemore 2-4) David Ortiz 2-5) Vladimir Guerrero 2-6) Manny Ramirez 2-7) Mark Teixeira 2-8) Travis Hafner 2-9) Derek Jeter 2-10) Carlos Lee 2-11) Matt Holliday 2-12) Carlos Zambrano 3-1) Jake Peavy 3-2) Aramis Ramirez 3-3) Justin Morneau 3-4) Joe Mauer 3-5) Paul Konerko 3-6) Miguel Tejada 3-7) Jason Bay 3-8) Hanley Ramirez 3-9) Jimmy Rollins 3-10) Roy Halladay 3-11) Brandon Webb 3-12) Dan Haren 4-1) Garrett Atkins 4-2) Ichiro 4-3) Vernon Wells 4-4) Brian McCann 4-5) Roy Gayswalt
  8. I get way too excited everytime I see a PM from either Mark or Ryan in my inbox. I was really hoping Konerko would fall to my next pick.
  9. Me too. I was just about to research. My two Marlins I took because even though they are already fantasy studs, I think there is a lot of upside to both. Vlad I picked because he and Manny Ramirez were the two best available and I think he has the best chance to stay healthy of the two. I am concerned with a little age/injury accumulation decline.
  10. I've checked Yahoo everyday for when fantasy baseball starts for the last week. 21 days till spring training. PS, can we turn this into a keeper league?
  11. That was my thought but at the last second decided to go with the upside.
  12. 1-1) Albert Pujols 1-2) Jose Reyes 1-3) Johan Santana 1-4) Alfonso Soriano 1-5) Alex Rodriguez 1-6) Carlos Beltran 1-7) Ryan Howard 1-8) Miguel Cabrera 1-9) Carl Crawford 1-10) Chase Utley 1-11) Derrek Lee 1-12) Chris Carpenter 2-1) David Wright 2-2) Lance Berkman 2-3) Grady Sizemore 2-4) David Ortiz 2-5) Vladimir Guerrero 2-6) Manny Ramirez 2-7) Mark Teixeira 2-8) Travis Hafner 2-9) Derek Jeter 2-10) Carlos Lee 2-11) Matt Holliday 2-12) Carlos Zambrano 3-1) Jake Peavy 3-2) Aramis Ramirez 3-3) Justin Morneau 3-4) Joe Mauer 3-5) Paul Konerko 3-6) Miguel Tejada 3-7) Jason Bay 3-8) Hanley Ramirez
  13. Was the other guy Vlad?
  14. Damn I wanted Sizemore. Hmmm... Vlad or Ramirez, Vlad or Ramirez... Wait... Hafner? After long deliberation Vladimir Guerrero is my pick.
  15. I wasn't being serious. I'm not dumb. Except about the Marlboro reds. He does smoke those.
  16. No one has "perfect" mechanics. Chris Carpenter smokes Marlboro Reds and does indeed have flawless mechanics. Those so called "flawless" mechanics have lead to Carpenter having labrum surgery, and a bicep injury in 04 that made him miss the 04 playoffs. Carpenter is one of those "lunging" type pitchers. He lunges forward which can cause a limit in hip rotation. This is my opinion, but maybe his shoulder injury was caused by not getting enough hip rotation or shoulder rotation which causes you to throw more with your arm, which in the end leads to arm injuries. Nuh uh. His mechanics are perfect.
  17. No one has "perfect" mechanics. Chris Carpenter smokes Marlboro Reds and does indeed have flawless mechanics.
  18. I dont think that guy is going to show up. If it was up to me, you would be in. hold your horses No no no, if his first rounder is going to be Derrek Lee then we should absolutely let him in.
  19. Any time you can avoid Bellichek's game plan in a big game, you should be grateful. Especially when they already beat you badly once.
  20. I'd give up Deng for Gasol in a second. Our inside out game would be unreal. Gasol + Noc or other small forward > Deng + current PF option.
  21. I like Willis a lot. I'd really like the Rams to get him. Beyond his obvious athletic abilities, he seems like a great guy in the ESPN Magazine article I read.
  22. I love the Bulls, but Illini hating is lame. The Bulls didn't lose because of the crowd. http://i20.ebayimg.com/03/i/05/ae/b1/d9_2.JPG OH SNAP
  23. i stopped reading there. LOL. The Cards are two more Albert Pujols and another Chris Carpenter from being a powerhouse. No one if this division projects to be a powerhouse. Hyperbole yes, but give us one more of one of those guys and it would make a powerhouse.
  24. I had a long standoff debate with myself over which to take. This was the other guy. I was taking whichever one of he and Howard you didn't take. I would've preferred Howard.
  25. Miguel Cabrera - 3b/lf - Florida Marlins
