Everything about this series scares me. A team we never play well against that's overperformed their Pythagorean, has a negative run differential, ranks last in several offensive categories and has one legitimately good pitcher. The better the matchup looks on paper, the more I worry. It's the way this team goes.
Wait, isn't that a fact? :D Geovany Soto has more grit, heart, hustle, moxy and knowledge of winning in his throwing hand than the Diamondbacks do on their entire roster. Throw out the stats, I know this is the truth.
I'm just curious as I watch this drama unfold, precisely what sort of response were you expecting to your "Throw out the stats, this team knows how to win!" stance, especially coming into a message board dedicated to your team's first round opponents?

Poor decisions involving use of late-inning relievers and defensive replacements, usually. He also started Ben Sheets on short rest, a start in which Sheets re-injured his hamstring
Can't have a division title without one. Go Cubs Go is just too darn short; I did my best to pare it down to the greatest moments from 2007, but numerous great moments from the past season ended up on the cutting room floor as a result of not wanting the highlights to run longer than the music. Some relevant Dave Kaplan narration bookends the production, and all in all, I think it works. http://home.comcast.net/~bcvm22/gocubsgo2007mix.mp3 Listen, enjoy and comment.
