  1. As usual, Wuertz enters with a lead and has difficulty finding the strike zone.
  2. Can't expect them to do everything right.
  3. The radio call of the DeRo HR got national play on ESPN. Let the country hear the gospel of Pat and Ron!
  4. Uncle Cliffy just walked off against the Sox down at the Trop.
  5. I predict Glendon shuts the Cubs down through 7 and we lose 3-1.
  6. Archived MLB.TV feeds are free to watch if you register with MLB.com (also free), and yes, he was absolutely as filthy as everyone was making him out to be. Len was almost beside himself on the last strikeout; "Oh, he did it again! The slider!"
  7. That leadoff walk was sort of sham-ish. Maybe BudHouse was on to something.
  8. Hell yeah. Gotta hear those radio calls. There should be more than one gem from today. Ask and ye shall receive. http://home.comcast.net/~bcvm22/cubs/5302008.mp3
  9. Highlights http://home.comcast.net/~bcvm22/cubs/5302008.mp3
  10. It's just a translation idiom. The "oh" sound in Japanese can be written in English as "oh", "ou" or "o" depending often simply on whomever's doing the writing; the Japanese catcher for the Mariners has his name on official materials and his jersey as "Johjima" despite the fact that when people were discussing him prior to his signing by Seattle, "Joujima" and "Jojima" were both used. I have enough faith in the Cubs' front office that they consulted with Kosuke upon signing him as to how he wanted his name spelled exactly in official materials.
  11. He's like the Highlander; Geovany Soto of the clan Soto. There can be only one... This needs to be an emoticon. :zambrano
  12. Highlight! http://home.comcast.net/~bcvm22/cubs/5282008.mp3
  13. Before every game, Soto paints his face with the blood of his enemies. He's like Pedro Cerrano, just bloodier.
  14. Highlight (only one good play tonight, haha) will be forthcoming as soon as the Gameday Audio feed hits postgame.
  15. Johnson, Fontenot and Soriano. Come on.
  16. You don't trust Johnson, a pinch hitter and Soriano to push a run across?
  17. I'm nearly positive that Cubs have only played one extra innings game at home, and that was Opening Day.
  18. That was our opportunity to win there. I predict we lose 2-1 in 11.
