Having lived in Houston now for a little over 3 years...for the second year in a row, I'll be hoping that the cards sweep the lastros. Philly and Atlanta choked but hopefully the turds will put an end to Houston's season. -
I'm happy that we got Matt Lawton from the Pirates, but I really hated to see Jody Gerut go. I wish Dusty would have played him more but I know we had a logjam of outfielders, as it were. I really wish the deal could have been Hollandsworth for Lawton straight up but maybe the Pirates wanted Gerut instead. I guess also maybe Hairston, Jr. was more valuable to keep because he can play other positions than OF. Man, I really liked Gerut's defense. What y'all think? It was a good deal don't get me wrong...I just wish we could have gotten rid of Holly instead.
