    Huet was pulled after he gave up the third goal. The only problem is Niemi has not looked much better.

    Goat of the game, for sure. We'd be fine if he didn't drop that TD pass. Hell, if we just took 3 that drive we'd have life. That drop was a killer. Now that Crosby made the field goal the game would have been tied had Lee just hung on to the ball.

    They were decent in 2007, but otherwise that's pretty much spot on. The 2001 Packers were also an above average defensive team.

    Good game Bengals fans. The Packers didn't deserve to have the game be that close at all. Between all the penalties and breakdowns on multiple levels it was just too much for them to overcome. They did the same thing last week, but against good teams that many mistakes will cost your team a victory. Unfortunately, this week it did for the Packers.

    The Packers' tackling has been terrible this season. It's amazing they were able to hold a great running like Matt Forte to 2.9 ypc.

    I was thinking the same thing. Now that the Vikings are down it is time that Favre normally begins pressing, and that always led to a bunch of interceptions.

    That something was Brett Favre. Favre was always terrible against Tampa 2 defenses, and sure enough that trend continued after Lovie Smith installed it in Chicago. Even though I am a Packers fan I am expecting the Bears to win by less than 7. Right now I am most worried about Greg Olsen and Desmond Clark. Now that they have a competent quarterback both of them will be able to take advantage of coverage breakdowns in the middle of the field.

    I missed this comment earlier, but I have two questions. 1. What, in your mind, make the 3-4 defense a "gimmicky" scheme? 2. Do you feel that the Tampa 2 defense is also a "gimmicky" scheme? If you don't consider it a gimmick, please explain why. i only consider it a gimmicky scheme because the packers run it, of course. but don't worry, they'll get their dismantling soon. and the tampa-2 is about as conventional as defenses get. I have to say I'm disappointed with your response. At the very least I was hoping you would make another incoherent rant like the one you started when the Steelers hired Mike Tomlin. I guess I will have to settle for your response to Banedon. I also find your response about the Tampa 2 funny, especially after you incorrectly described the 3-4 as: Change the oversized linemen to undersized linemen and that would be a great definition for the personnel needed to play a Tampa 2. If you want to attack a real gimmick defense, then by all means attack the 1-5-5 or 2-4-5 that the Packers will be using in nickel and dime packages.
