  1. Wow, i didn't ever think this website would ever make a comeback.
  2. I got a response email from someone today saying that they have been so inundated with orders it has been hard to keep up. So be patient.
  3. And I was listening to it at work!

  5. I sent my money in on January 17th and I have yet to get this cd yet. I have ordered other things from WGN Radio and I would have already gotten what i ordered by say the end of the week. I did email someone over there and i have yet to be emailed back. and that was over the weekend.

  7. This story is also on the social board but it's a reminder for all of the younder generation of this board who didnt grow up in the Chicago area to watch Bozo, Gar & Ray: WGNTV CLASSICS. This special will be hosted by Dean Richards who is on WGNTV and Radio. It will be airing tonight on WGN superstation from 7-9pmct and 2-4pmct on Sunday and that will lead you right into Bears/Packers at 4pmct on FOX. For all you older Chicagoans it probably will make you all a little misty eyed. Set your TIVO's, set you vcr's. Ray Rayner was our Sportscenter before there was a sportscenter. BTW -there is no sports footage on here. It doesnt exsits anymore. But i will say there is a segment of Garfield Goose from 1959 in which Gar and Romberg Rabbit score 2 tickets to the '59 series. None of you will get to see the Ray Rayner dual Cubs/Sox baseball cap. It will also have snipets of Clutch Cargo, Hardrock Coco and Joe, Suzy Snowflake, Frosty the Snowman and Diver Dan. Have i enticed any of you?
  8. Has anyone read Barry Rozner this morning. In his article he said that Vidro if healthy would come cheaper than Miguel Tejada. Maybe the cubs would only have to give up Corey Patterson or Jerry Hairston, Jr. for Vidro. Jose Vidro would make a GREAT #2 hitter. Tejada is not exactly a #2 hitter. Vidro does things that are unheard of in most cub hitters: takes pitches, works the count.
  9. It was reported on WGN sports central that Tejada wants out of Baltimore. HELLO JIM HENDRY - ARE YOU LISTENING???
  10. My sister is sort of still dating Phil. He was at my sisters Christmas party last night when I saw him. A few months back my boss asked me to ask Phil his honest opinion of Dusty and here it is: Too macho with his pitchers. Leaves pitchers in too long - 120 pitches - Frank Robinson left his pitchers in LONGER. *Otherwise he's average and altogether dissapointing* Last night Phil brought these homemade cheese encheladas - They were VERY GOOD!!!
  11. I heard it reported on WGN radio at about 7:20pm. It's a 2 year deal and he will wear uniform #47 which was comtaminated by Mike Remlinger.
  12. When I got my VineLine in the mail yesterday and i saw the '06 schedule i looked it over for a while and a certain date has caught my attention. Write down Monday, Sept. 25th @ Cincy - 11:35amct. It's one of those Friday - Monday 4 game series. The Cubs can either clinch the division or wild card on that date or come limping home from Cincy at the end of another dissapointing season. Here are some links for all you posters of this board out there who grew up in the 60's and 70's in the Chicago area. With Halloween coming up, you all will appreciate this. It will bring back great memories. http://www.cafepress.com/chicagocreature I have already bought 4 things from this website and should be getting them on Friday. http://www.cafepress.com/cp/media_player.aspx?p=18801532&trackno=1&m=69488_s This song is called "Experiment in Terror" by Henry Mancini. Should have been known as Hawkins theme song. http://www.horror-wood.com/creature_features.htm http://www.wgncreaturefeatures.tvheaven.com/index.html http://www.creaturefeatures.tvheaven.com
  13. You are exactly right. It was Michael Garciaparra who singled to right field.
  14. Hello everyone, This goes all the way back to the end of spring training. Remember when the Cubs and the Mariners played in Las Vegas? Name the young Mariners player who got the game winning hit in the bottom of the 10th inning to beat the Cubs 5-4? Happy Halloween everyone - I emailed thisoldcub.com about this picture and they said they have no clue on who the man in blue on the left is.
  15. I hope he get's rid of it soon. It was a year ago today that the cubs went up to Milwaukee and were beaten 1-0.
  16. Last year the Cubs swept the Sox on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. I remember a bases loaded walk for Todd Walker. And then the next day the Cubs went up to Milwaukee and lost 1-0. The last time the Cubs spent the 4th in Atlanta was 2002 and the Cubs lost 5-1 and the next day Don Baylor got fired.
  17. Here is someone that all baseball fans should really pull for. This guy had been in the minors for the last 11 years and finally on June 10th was called up by the Nats and got 1 at-bat. He made the most of it with an rbi single off of Seattle's Joel Pinero. He was sent down the next day. A couple of day's ago the ESPN guys were talking about players who have had 1 AB in the bigs. Short is the only one to get an rbi. I felt really bad this guy cuz the ESPN guys said that this would probably would be his only AB in the bigs. Well, with all the injuries the Nats have right now Short was called up by them again. Now here is someone the Cubs should be on the lookout for this weekend cuz he could do a whole lot of damage. That would be so verrry Cub like. Short was also leading all of the minors with a .381 average.
