  1. chicagobears.com has been completely overhauled if anyone is interested.
  2. Durham flies out to deep center, Alou to 3rd
  3. Pierre had the longest/most patient at bat
  4. Pierre grounds out to 1st Theriot grounds out to 3rd
  5. for those that missed Ryan just made a beatiful web gem :D
  6. GO BEARS!!!!!!!! How about setting an over under on Favre 2 picks - 2 sacks
  7. yeah Iowa still has games to play can't really take 2/3 of the outfield, Soto won't really hut them since Reyes is there.
  8. Just like Sean, hopefully THE DON ends the year on a bright note.
  9. He'll probably get called up any day after Dusty hears that, this team needs more "hustle" ;)
  10. Pie, Veal & Gallagher might get them on the phone.
  11. Hopefully Gallagher ends his season with a bang.
  12. Should we be getting excited about Canzler?
  13. I don't know much about his breaking stuff (I'll watch the game video from Boise's web site sometime tomorrow...hopefully will learn more from that). He is 19, does have a mid-90s FB and is missing a lot of bats...probably somewhere 10-15. Best Hendry trade since Dlee? (or was Barrett after that one?) That's less about Ceda's quality and more about Hendry's move's. (and if it was the best since that, the Neifi trade overtakes it anyways :D)
  14. I know it's a small sample but if my quick calculations are correct. Epatt is at .386 in Iowa.
  15. Might as well go for the high draft pick. What else is there to play for? can someone fill me in who knows alot by amautuer baseball. Lets say we are picking top 3...is there a saviour out there? An Arod? A Joe Mauer? A Johan Santana? or are we pretty much F'ed. As of now (and this definitely will change by next June), the top 3 prospects look like LHP David Price (Vanderbilt), RHP Matt Harvey (high school) and C Matt Wieters (Georgia Tech). Do any of those players you just mentioned go by the title "Messiah" The pitchers look real good, especially the HS ones. There's gonna be a future few aces there - the draft certainly will be better than this years. I'd take Price if he can perform at the level another Vanderbilt product is pitching at right now.
  16. fwiw there is a rather uninformative Sept. call up article on Cubs.com
  17. I think he can be the perfect neifi perez/jose macias type player except that he can hit and walk some.
  18. I deem that The Riot is now officially the new Louisianna Lumberjack.
