Which would be stupid (though Lou seems to have a flair for overreacting - i.e. Dempster to the rotation for 5 minutes). Gallagher (nor Mateo) can outperform the 3 guys at the back of the rotation right now. I don't agree with it either. It just seems like something Lou might do.

I'd do that. Make Marquis your long man. I don't think Lou would though.

Theriot made a diving stop and threw from the ground, it was probably a throw that Lee is capable of grabbing but it was tough play on both ends.

Ramirez wasn't drilled, his jersey got grazed. I don't agree with putting guys on base for free when the SP can't get outs.

not that I'm one of the "OMG THE SKY IS FALLING" about the starters. Maquis, Marshall and Hill have been very inconsistent for awhile and when those guys don't have it, it tends to get ugly. Hill & Marshall I believe can get it together, Marquis I'm not so confident about.

Despite only surrendering 1 run, he looked pretty bad and he did get hit with a Jacque line drive to end the 1st so it's possible he's hurting. bruised forearm. yeah, I was on delay with Tivo and skipped most of the last half inning :pukel:

There is no guarantee we see their bullpen. the guy coming in is a rookie starting pitcher, one we've never faced... It's possible the guy finishes the game out.

And several of the pitchers don't help matters either. Sometime during the past three days when I was at the games I commented that I could probably steal a base on the Cubs, and I have zero speed at all.

The most worrisome part of the lineup to me is Hill catching. I hope that even though Kendall has the hotter bat right now, Lou doesn't go back to him tomorrow and goes with Hill two days in a row. Z + Hill = works great. Z + Kendall = not as much.

They updated it after the game, and a lot of people were waiting around to get a good look. But the wind wasn't blowing at all so it was a big letdown.
