    Our schedule is all Pirates and Reds who the Cubs can't beat for some reason and the Cardinals who stopped losing. It's over. And also I find it hard to get excited over either playoff scenario - win the division and here's reigning king Cub killer Ozzie Albies to hit .800 with 6 HR over 3 games or here's 1 game to get ass kicked by the Nationals again.

    I don’t think that’s totally impossible, if he finishes in the same manner as he’s been pitching the past two months. He’s been utterly dominant. The next question is, do we want him to opt out? Only if that's the first domino to fall that leads to signing Cole and him bringing the Astros pitching magic with him.

    Can you imagine the hellscape this place would be if Chapman had given up a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th of Game 7? (and 2017 to now had played out the same)

    The actual response to the article should have been the fact that Rodgers was sacked 5 times and scored 10 points, maybe that's not actually deserving of an article talking about how you shut down Mack.

    yeah or to keep it sports - ump calls on borderline pitches are like holds on every play it fluctuates based on the ump/ref and situation. Mack strangled is like the Kemp high and outside called strike 3 a couple of weeks back. Does it change the outcome of games? Probably not mostly, but it still shouldn't happen.
