  1. Joe really is the real life version of this
  2. never forget that was the year Neifi saved the Cubs.
  3. Really should consider folding the franchise if they don't dong the face off a guy that thought these were good ideas http://www1.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Steven+Brault+Pittsburgh+Pirates+Photo+Day+1NYmE9tpml-l.jpg
  4. He's hitting .500 against this pitcher And also the alternative is Heyward. .391/.500/.870 last 7 games
  5. [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo] they did a fake clip show side by side [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo]

  7. this sentence started so promising [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. I also still buy into the theory that it's been Loretta since he was hired as bench coach to take over in 2020 or at some point mid-season if it was warranted.
  9. How does Ross come off on commentary does he fly the huge red flags that Sandberg did in his Yahoo articles? I still think it takes an offer he can't refuse to go back to a full time baseball schedule, and I'm skeptical that offer would come.
  10. Our schedule is all Pirates and Reds who the Cubs can't beat for some reason and the Cardinals who stopped losing. It's over. And also I find it hard to get excited over either playoff scenario - win the division and here's reigning king Cub killer Ozzie Albies to hit .800 with 6 HR over 3 games or here's 1 game to get ass kicked by the Nationals again.
  11. I don’t think that’s totally impossible, if he finishes in the same manner as he’s been pitching the past two months. He’s been utterly dominant. The next question is, do we want him to opt out? Only if that's the first domino to fall that leads to signing Cole and him bringing the Astros pitching magic with him.
  12. was ball one as awful (as in its clearly a strike) as it looks on gameday?
  13. This is definitely going to push his forearm issue over the edge into full blown exploded arm, right?

  17. Can you imagine the hellscape this place would be if Chapman had given up a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th of Game 7? (and 2017 to now had played out the same)
  18. Anybody complaining about not having Soler right now would have been the loudest voices complaining about him as a 2017 and 2018 Cub.
  19. The actual response to the article should have been the fact that Rodgers was sacked 5 times and scored 10 points, maybe that's not actually deserving of an article talking about how you shut down Mack.
  20. Astros are the team to be jealous of. I'll take our last 7 years over the Dodgers last 7 100 out of 100 times.
  21. Could it also be they want to promote somebody to his position?
  22. yeah or to keep it sports - ump calls on borderline pitches are like holds on every play it fluctuates based on the ump/ref and situation. Mack strangled is like the Kemp high and outside called strike 3 a couple of weeks back. Does it change the outcome of games? Probably not mostly, but it still shouldn't happen.
