Happy 1 year anniversary to Addi's World Series grand dong. Such a fun game, outside of Chapman coming in with a 5 run lead and staying in with a 7 run lead.

hate to out David you with knowing too much about their personal lives, but I'm pretty sure he's also his step-son from his wifes previous marriage... which I think makes it better.

This game 5 talk reminded me on how great the Verducci book is, and especially the analysis of Game 5. The talk about how the Cubs couldn't do anything with all the curveballs, and then for some reason KB got a fastball and donged it and Rizzo got one and doubled and then then Zobrist got a 3-0 count which Cleveland's scouting report noted that "He had seen 413 pitches in his career at 3-and-0 and swung at only 11 of them, only 5 of which he actually put into play. He had not had a hit on a 3-and-0 count since September 27, 2013, more than three years before". Bauer grooved a fastball and Zobrist singled.

Unless he really wants a coaching job for the Cubs I think Ross will stay out of baseball for a little while longer. I'm sure the money is pretty good for what he is doing now and working only a couple of days week (if that). I feel like his "future manager" cred is strong enough where he could probably get a coaching position whenever he wants it.
