  1. I honestly wouldn't be surprised. For whatever reason they have the Brewers number this year. That's going to feel so very, very dirty rooting for the Cardinals.
  2. I'm a Cub fan. I'm ALWAYS worried. In fact, I'll be worried if/until the Cubs actually clinch and every other team is mathematically eliminated. Then I'll stop worrying, but not until.
  3. He won't get booed if he doesn't suck and act like a bratty child on the mound.
  4. For the Brewers: Ben Sheets: 12-5, 3.78 ERA For the Astros: Felipe Paulino: 0-0, 11.25 ERA Go Astros!
  5. I WISH I LIVED IN CHICAGO!! SHFLDJASDSDHDJKLDHASJKDASKDJASHDJKSH You should. It's the best City in the U.S. My absolute favorite place in the entire world. I told my wife if we ever win the lottery we're buying a place in Wrigleyville.
  6. From the Reds in the 9th? Touche. This is one of those times I'm very glad to have been so wrong.
  7. What would be upheld, exactly, and why would this be upheld when there have been other game deciding blown plays that have stood?
  8. LOL, he doesn't watch many Cubs games does he. Well the post is pretty silly, its just a rant but balls have been bouncing the Cubs way left and right since about late May now. The wild pitching in philly, the flurry of 2 out RBI hits in July, all the errors and bad defense other teams played in August, games like tonight where a couple misplayed balls hand the game to you. Someone upstairs is on the Cubs side. Granted in April/May the opposite happened, the Cubs couldn't buy a break and Yost even said he thought more things bounced our way in that one month than all of last year. you know, like tonight where a check swing and a bloop hit gave the other team two runs. or when Aram's ball that everyone in the world thought would go 430 feet and Hopper made an incredible catch. someone upstairs on the Cubs side. puh-leaz. or when oswalt's wife is being induced the day after he is scheduled to pitch against the brewers. Someone upstairs is on the Cubs side? You mean like in 2003 when up until Game 6, God was happily watching over wars and famine and starving children. Then an angel frantically burst into his office: "Sir, I have some important news!!" "Bah, what is it, Gabriel? Can't you see I'm busy?" "But Sir, the Chicago Cubs are five outs away from winning the pennant!" "WHAT??? I'm glad you told me! I'll get right on that!" So...yeah.
  9. Wrestling over the Cubs? Come on now... Hey, every time I put on my headphones (had to listen on WGN) the Cubs did something bad. So, for the good of the team I took them off and occupied myself with other things.
  10. Oh my sweet Jesus..... I can't get excited. I can't. I've been hurt too many times before by this team... Oh, how I want to get excited like the rest of you and honestly, truly, deeply believe that this is the year it happens.... but I can't. I go off to watch the end of wrestling, then watch a Twilight Zone on DVR, and I come back and I could swear I was in the Twilight Zone myself. Sweet crap this team is going to kill me.
  11. Don't we usually hit Harrang pretty well?
  12. Cuban ought to be thrilled with the crap fest he saw tonight.
  13. Just out of curiosity, what website has this?
  14. Nothing better than knee-jerk overreactions. You honestly think they are? I think I have a bridge in Brooklyn that you may be interested in purchasing.
  15. After a game like this, there is no way the Cubs are a playoff team.
  16. When do playoff tickets go on sale in Milwaukee? With half of our remaining games against this team, I don't like our chances. It's like someone reincarnated the 1927 Yankees. Congrats, Brewers.
  17. Voted A. I'm sure generations from now will know of Barry's controversy and the controversy surrounding the record.
  18. His name is Jim Powell.
  19. I just hope he doesn't revert back to the Marquis we all thought he was going to be next year. Same with Lilly.
  20. That sound you hear is the dagger being thrust into the chest of the Cardinals for the 2007 season. Goodbye, and rot in hell, Redbirds.
  21. Lilly racked up a bunch of pitches early, too, then settled down and had a decent game. Let's hope Marshall does the same.
  22. Well crap. Hopefully Lee's knee is 100% for a possible postseason run.
  23. Brewers winning 3-1 in the 4th. :( I'd like to be up 3 at the end of the night, but 2 wouldn't be bad either, assuming the Cubs win this one.
