I'm not really sure at all, but my guess is a third of a season, like 54 games. Joe Mauer (first pick of the 2001 draft, before Mark Prior) ran out of his elgibility last year, and he only played 35 games.
How many games does a player have in order to run out of elgibility for Rookie Of The Year? I do not think he will win it this year, but if next year he is hitting like its 2005, he will surely win it.
