Does anybody else keep running into the Epstein-Barr virus when searching for Theo Epstein news? Apparently, the Epstein–Barr virus (EBV), also called human herpesvirus 4 (HHV-4), is a virus of the herpes family, which includes herpes simplex virus 1 and 2, and is one of the most common viruses in humans.

So let me get this straight, if this is true: Then whats the point of this: Any Red Sox fans browse this board? Is the fanbase more attached to Francona or Epstein? I'd imagine Francona because his job demanded everyday interaction with fans and the media... And they had no problem dealing with the fanbase when letting go of him.

Do people here seriously expect a perfect GM with a perfect track record? Thats a pretty damn good record for an AL East team. Plus, anybody who works with Bill James on a daily basis is pretty damn good in my book. Now imagine the same guy with a team trying to compete in the NL and this pretty susceptible Central division.
