  1. Some ugly 1st half shooting lines for the Bullies. Noc: 1-6 Kirk: 1-6 Duhon: 1-4 Griffin: 0-3 Gordon: 2-6 Othella: 0-2 Frankie Williams ( ): 0-1
  2. Hinrich was wide open for both of those. Of course, now the Bulls are down by two. This officiating leaves something to be desired... Yeah, they weren't bad shots; I'd just like to see Ben touch the ball a bit more.
  3. Gordon needs to be shooting these shots.
  4. I'd forgotten how big of a "black hole" Fizer is. That last shot was fine, but I swear, once you pass it to him, there's no getting it back.
  5. Mason's got one fugly free throw stroke.
  6. By the way, I love Kirk and all, and he's my favorite player, but I hope they really funnel the shots through Gordon here. He's got to be the first option. Sometimes Kirk takes annoying shots in the 4th. (his early six pts notwithstanding).
  7. LOL. I've never seen two players unable to help a guy off the floor before.
  8. Why does it always sound like Kerr is feasting on a repast as he broadcasts the game?
  9. I hope the trainers tell Kirk not to play in the rookie/sophomore game. Why risk hurting his hand more? He could use the rest anyway.
  10. I don't know, but I found it off-putting for some reason. Some of those kids looked so young.
  11. Did anyone catch the nice breakdown that Legler and Greg Anthony did on the Bulls during SC last night? Pretty in-depth, and lots of props for just about everyone. They ended the segment answering one question--Can the Bulls win a playoff series? Both said no. I disagree, assuming that what we're watching is the real Bulls. They win with defense and all-around scoring, so you can't really shut one guy down. Those two factors are critical in the playoffs. A lot of people will talk about their lack of playoff experience, and that might hurt them, but most of these guys have played in big games. Kirk went to 2 Final Fours. So did Duhon, I think. Luol went to one. Ben Go went to at least one. Noc played for the Gold in the Olympics. It's not like they've never been on the big stage before. The big thing is turnovers. If they can cut down on those, they can win a series. It also depends on who they play. I don't think they could beat the Heat. But anyone else, I think they'd have a reasonable chance at beating.
  12. Finally, the Bulls are offically scoring more points per game than they're giving up. (91.4 to 91.0) I'm no math whiz, but I think that's probably a good thing.
  13. So what's our draft status this year? We don't have a first rounder because of the Deng trade? It's a conditional 1st rounder? 'splain, please.
  14. I loved watching Kirk and Rip chase each other around the court. Do they ever get tired? By the way, on a whim, I compared both players season stats. Rip's stats are on top. PPG RPG APG SPG BPG FG% FT% 3p% MPG 20.5 3.7 4.2 1.15 .08 .440 .874 .288 39.9 15.9 4.2 7.1 1.49 .27 .400 .830 .351 37.4
  15. I think (hope) it's Superstation. Raisin--I just checked the Bulls website. It's a Supa-station game. HOLLA!
  16. I never left, either. But count me in nonetheless. EDIT: I call a window seat. That pic of Noc is freaking priceless, Serena. Priceless. By the way, is the Pistons game a Superstation broadcast, or is it just Chicagoland GN?
  17. Solid Webster reference. That show wasn't just good; it was "edu-tainment."
  18. Ben Gordon is ridiculously good. SICK.
  19. Here's some good half-time reading on Kirk Hinrich. A real nice article in the NY Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/17/sports/basketball/17hinrich.html?oref=login
  20. You can't get the chicago sports channel on Dish network?
  21. I disagree. We haven't talked about it in six years. It's good to gave a little excitement. I also disagree about the "As good as we've played...." statement. Truth is, we haven't played that well in a few games, and we still won them. And while our defense is pretty good, our offense has a lot of room to improve. (especially turnovers.) Considering that these are young guys (Duhon, Gordon, Luol), I look for them to get better, and, consequently, the Bulls to play better. My two concerns are that extended road trip and the fact that our rookies may hit a wall eventually, given the season is so much longer than the college season.
  22. Hinrich is a stud. Rock, chalk, Jayhawk.
  23. Right now the Bulls are only two games out of the final Eastern Conference playoff spot. I know it's early, but after 0-9, that's not too shabby.
