  1. but hey, Bruce 'calls em as he sees em.' perhaps mlb was on to something for 13 years.
  2. I'll put this here so as to not soil the instant classic that is the Brewers/Cards game thread Bud Black pulling a total Baker. not really pitch count wise, but he's left him in to start innings when the Pads have had 8-1, 9-2, and 10-2 leads. um, earth to Bud, with the Giants offense and your bullpen, I think this one is in the bag and you may need 130 pitches out of this guy in four days.
  3. ...instead he's gonna go right to having his coccyx shoot out of his taint.
  4. I can not honestly say the same thing. There once was a time when it was win or go home. That doesn't apply tomorrow.
  5. not sure if you are aware, but that's considered bad mojo around here.
  6. much like alot of the talk regarding having the division at hand troubled me, I think we are getting a little ahead of ourselves here. let's see the Cards get six more outs before declaring this one over.
  7. Looks like the brewers were unable to capitaleze off the 'momentum' of the Cubs' loss tonight. looks like the Cards were able to capitalize on the momentum shift of the beaning.
  8. obviously I'm not the only one who has noted just how excedingly Taguchi that guy is.
  9. I'm sorry bro. It's all good, it just made the rest of this bottle of scoth look a lot smaller. Holy crap man, I'm really sorry. I was supposed to help her move Columbus day weekend, and I bailed on her thanks to an event in Chicago I got tickets for (that most likely won't be happeneng), but at least now she has enough freetime on her own until then that i don't feel so bad. :? there is usually time to rescind Pi. tell her to call a lawyer. probably won't cost more than a hundred bucks or so, plus she may lose the earnest money.
  10. christ, it's bad enough rooting for the Cardinals, now I have to root for a guy named Skip?
  11. I dont think so. but there IS Ray King. Turnbow looks like the fourth Hanson brother.
  12. You mean tomorrow? yes. flakin' out here.
  13. just stoked to know that the guy who cost the Cubs a run tonight with an obvious blown call will be calling balls and strikes tonight.
  14. this Falkenburg thing is ridiculous.
  15. all the blame Kendall is getting right now is [expletive]. he hit the ball extremely well twice tonight. stating Soto would have been better by decry is silly. I want the guy playing too, but it's ridiculous to make him the scapegoat of this game. how about Aram for that award.
  16. I figured there was probably plenty of this going on tonight. hey, I don't like alot of the early swings, but the fact is nearly every batter has pounded the ball tonight, with just about a dozen line drives right at someone for an out.
  17. someone summon the Brewers board to conjure up some more of that good luck, cuz we got plenty of bad luck tonight.
  18. just enough bad strikes and line drives right at em to shut this offense down.
  19. pen up now. not only did it not break like a slider, it missed the mitt by a foot and a half.
  20. typical Marquis 0-2 magic right there.
  21. Barone starts Marquis off with the pitch that wasn't called a strike for Marquis last inning...and it's called a strike.
  22. there's that first pitch bs strike call. Reilly will do this all night to us.
  23. Cubs are 2-8 in the last 10 games in which Reilly has called balls and strikes. Marquis' teams are 0-5 in games in which Reilly has called balls and strikes. go MLB.
