  1. Nobody-this is Wuertz's 3rd day in a row pitching. Lou put him in here so he wouldn't have to double switch this time-pitch him one inning, then pinch-hit for him after the inning. I pointed out the stupidity of using Weurtz in two straight blowouts last night. dumb dumb dumb. nice work so fire.
  2. dumb double switch alert. who cares about overworking Ohman, pull him once he gets in trouble.
  3. 390. up your Turner Field. Renterria puts the game away with a 335 footer yesterday.
  4. I suggest you package it and send it to Jim Wolf. just bite the bullet and buy the records report. I'll mail a couple to you and you can forward them on. Don't you lawyers have access to public records searches? Send me his address and I'll make my own **** for distribution. well, I'm not a licensed attorney, but the one's I have worked for paid for it just like everyone else.
  5. if Hudson has a broken foot and Renterria a broken hand, it's nice revenge against the Braves, but it sure doesn't make for the 4-5 games that will be more difficult to win due to really really bad umpiring.

  7. That's disturbing. you have to see it to know just how disturbing it is. it's truly unbelievable, freak of nature kind of thing.
  8. my four year old daughter produces larger fecal pellets than a 200 pound 40 year old vegan male. not related. just thought everyone could use a distraction about now.
  9. let's all swing at ball four weeeeee!
  10. it is now. and there's a thread here about the RedSox, why do you have a problem with me starting one about the Braves all needing to die?
  11. conveniently no dugout view on these check swings.
  12. Obviously MLB has it out for the Cubs. just wanted to bump this to emphasize how ridiculous and stupid I am. how could I have been so silly to think that the rules of the game aren't applied equally amongst the various teams? my apologies for making such absurd accusations Raisen. I hope you stay up on this and lampoon others who might feel the same way.
  13. all of you must die.
  14. you left the part about Renterria tries to go out to the mound and blatantly punches Cub in face, and doesnt' get ejected.
  15. It didn't look like it, he was already 0-2 on him. This is beyond belief. Soriano hits HR, Braves hit him on purpose with no consequences, Lilly hits someone on accident and gets immediately ejected, what a fantastic sequence of logic. I think it was intentional, but it certainly doesn't make the treatment we've seen the past couple of days by this umpire crew correct.
  16. Lilly hit Renteria first pitch, and now got kicked out. it was the third pitch. let's see. retaliate because a player beats you honestly, no problem. retaliate because the other team beans your guy without justification, ejection and probably suspension. it's such a just world.
  17. while I want someone on the Braves to pay the price for Hudson and Cox's actions last night, I am confident that any Brave batter that gets hit by a pitch tonight will result in an instantaneous ejection of the pitcher and Lou, with suspensions to follow, regardless of the intent of the pitcher or evidence of said intent. I feel this is one that will have to wait until next year, when hopefully Hudson will still be a Brave, and pay back can come against the actual offender. I dont think that can be done without a warning first. Sometimes when series get nasty they will install a warning before the game. If they havent done that i think its ok for Lilly to plunk him without the penalties you stated. Id rather have Marmol be the executionor anyway. Lilly doesnt throw hard enough for my satisfying my thirst to get even. :) if you watched last nights game, it's pretty clear that warnings are meaningless. it all comes down to the subjective opinion of the umpires and whether or not they deem a hbp intentional. I think Brenly said that the umpires can do whatever they want in regard to ejecting a player if they feel a pitch was thrown at a batter intentionally, and I think under the rules he was correct. if you watched last nights game, it's also pretty clear the Cubs are screwed if a decision comes down to the subjective opinion of Tim Tschida and crew. TAAAAAAA DAAAAAAAAH! MLB is a GD joke.
  18. Hudson threw at Soriano on the first pitch of the game. it hits Sori in the head if he didn't get his arm up to block it. Tschida issues warnings. then Sean Gallagher is beaned in his first ML AB. no ejection. then a pitch is thrown behind Izzy. no ejection. after the Gallagher beaning, Lou looks out at Tschida with his hands in the air as if to ask 'where's the ejection.' Tschida starts yelling at Lou. there were also some serious issues with Tschida's stikezone, which made for a couple of other incidents of Tschida yelling at the Cubs dugout. the fourth inning yesterday was really the turning point of the game. Izzy is called out on an obvious ball on a 3-2 pitch, followed by the hbp of Marshall that didn't result in ejection despite warnings after the first pitch of the game, followed by a terrible strike call on Sori that ruined his AB, followed by another strike three call on Pie on a pitch nowhere near.
