    ugh, does Bob Walk always make excuses for the Pirates? Duffy made a bad misread on Soriano's hit; Oquendo's curve caught too much of the plate given the 0-2 count. sweet, soriano screws up again!

    don't make excuses for the CF... it was a big swing, but clearly off the end of the bat with the batter really reaching for it. That was just a poor read.

    who is this, ray charles? The pop was almost directly over short. Izturis tried to make an over-the-shoulder basket catch; Theriot was coming at it from maybe a 60 degree angle.

    Not to mention that it was a pop directly over short, whereas the 2B had an angle to the ball. If the 2B says he can get it, and you're the SS going back to try to make a tough play, you pull up and give the 2B the chance to make the catch. Gorzelanny is another one of those Cub-hating White Sox fans :roll:
