The Cubs were very active at the deadline, and maybe got their future starter for years to come as well. Clay Holmes is a prime candidate for the Cubs to sign to an extension before uncertainty sets in with the expected lockout this winter. With Holmes's high groundball rate paired with the Cubs' elite defense, this is a match made in heaven.
