    I guess I cannot understand the purpose of "aggressive" hitting or whatever the concept is. Simple rule: If it's a good pitch, hit it. If it's not, lay off of it. Take walks.

    It would probably be that little rugrat Eckstein that inflicted the damage too. That's the only way it would be fitting for the Cubs. Exactly.

    Uh no, keep Carlos away as a first baseman. I wouldn't want to give the Cardinals a chance to try to "run over" him.

    Good deal. I don't mind the idea of Hairston on 2nd and Walker at 1st. The bigger question though is, will Dusty do it? It seems to me, for whatever reason(s) that Neifi will be at 2nd more than Hairston.

    Trust me, the Cubs does not need Mike Sweeney. He's horrible as a 1B. Sweeney is more of a DH than a first baseman.

    Not really, he was hitting .318/.448/.614 on the season and had two shots that would have been HRs if they weren't playing in Chavez Ravine the last few days. I understand that. It's just seemed to me that lately that Lee has been GIDP as of late though.

    It sucks that Lee got hurt, but at the same time, wasn't Lee really struggling at the plate?

    restovich has been tearing up iowa too. he has to be better than bynum Only issue I see is that I don't know whether Restovich is currently on the 40-man roster or not. If he isn't, you'd sure think they could safely take Reyes off of it, but someone like Craig would no more about this than me. Just DFA Bynum. Agreed.
