One of the luckier pitching games I can remember for the Cubs.

Winning series. Winning on the road.

If there was any player in the lineup that we would hope would just crush one, it would be Happ, right?
  4. BKHoo
I can’t believe I am going to say this but we have the bullpen advantage, hopefully he can keep us in front.

I love it when we play defense like this.

    PCA makes that look routine.

Can the Royals hang on here in the 10th?

Gore has very good stuff at times. That curveball is solid.

    Ugh

The Nationals have also spent basically nothing in free agency the last few years also. They have one of the lowest projected payrolls in baseball next year. Their plan is to wait until the young players get to a good point and then surround them with more talent - and the next 1-2 years should be the time to do that. I don’t know why they would give up Gore unless the deal is too good to pass up. He is only going to get better. If they did give him up, which I’d say is unlikely, they would be focused on getting quality pitching in return. That’s what they need.

Gore has to be almost off limits. Lots of team control + he is young and rising with the rest of their roster.

Is Kyle expected to play today?

We were set to miss Wheeler but then he took paternity leave and now it’s up in the air.

Every team in the division lost (except the Cubs).
  15. BKHoo
Hey the Royals were down 7-2 and just tied it.
  16. BKHoo
When is the last time we were 16 games over 500?
  17. BKHoo
    Does that happen very often?
  18. BKHoo
Who else said - Nico why you swinging at that? - Oh ok nice swing!

Busch that was terrible. Easily an error.

Not just those two but Gore and Hassell III also. That could go down as one of the best trades ever. Technically it was for 2 years of Soto, they just decided to trade him after 1.

Any latest intel on Tucker and his finger?
  23. BKHoo
De La Cruz lost his sister today? That sux so much.
  24. BKHoo
If my projections are correct, we are going to miss Wheeler.

Good start to June. Another series win.
