  1. I hope I am wrong this year but Rea has never impressed me.
  2. PCA at the 5! 😝
  3. If it wasn’t for Rendon with the Angels - the Bryant contract would be called maybe the worst present contract?
  4. Wow do I love this guy...... Imanaga said through his interpreter during an interview with Chicago-based media in Mesa, Ariz. “I heard this will be the first time two Japanese MLB pitchers faced off in a series in Japan. I have to say that the reason we as modern Japanese players in MLB are getting all this attention is what the Japanese players did in the past to make the transition easier. They created this path, so we follow through the history they created. I want to say thank you to all of them.”
  5. Is it common in spring training for the teams to have the same color?
  6. Bregman to the Red Sox.
  7. I feel you are way underestimating the value of what will need to be given. Cease is a true #1. Not cheap.
  8. A Brazier move would be so Cubs like.
  9. Bregman and Cease please.
  10. Ehh a true number 1 that can dominate in short playoff series is pretty important. Game 1 is the most important game of every playoff series. Steele is a borderline number 1. I’m not sure he is the number 1 on most contending teams. Aim higher Cubs.
  11. I guess Steele is a #1 or can be considered one, but wow we’d look good if he was our #2.
  12. Every team needs a true #1. That’s about not aiming high — trying to win a mediocre division versus trying to win a World Series.
  13. What is the Dodgers payroll? Sheeeesh.
  14. This part of the article bothers me: That means Tucker could be one-and-done at Wrigley Field. After Soto helped set the market when he signed for $765 million, the soon-to-be free agent has likely already priced himself out of Chicago.
  15. I think the payroll component is getting overly focused on - it’s not like we are even close to bottom in the league. The Cubs were 7th last year. You could make a case they should be 3-5 based on their market but a lot of teams won more games than them and spent less. 2024 payrolls
  16. Big No on Finnegan. There is a reason the Nats let him walk.
  17. Moncada gets hurt getting out of bed.
  18. Do we know if the Cubs entertained the idea of signing Sugano, who signed with the Os?
  19. One question: Why Suzuki in RF above Tucker?
  20. What do you all think will be the very next big Cubs move?
  21. Time for this “amazing” farm system to show out. Shaw you are up.
  22. Is Tucker just a one year rental? It is predicted he will sign long term with whoever trades for him (if it happens)?
  23. I wasn’t judging the decision, more that if it has already been made, this event provides the Cubs a bit more leverage with the Yankees specifically.
