Poo Holes or Edmonds tomorrow would just make my weekend. especially on Fox with Buck and McCarver announcing. That's would be too sweet. Papa Buck and Harry might come to blows up stairs too!!
Since Raffy has some free time, and it's worked so well in restaffing the Cubs roster in the past, maybe we can introduce him to Mrs. Macias, Mrs. Perez, Mrs. Blanco, Mrs. Baker, etc...
Now that the Cubs free fall is quickly reaching terminal velocity, I’ll give myself a week to be angry, but (as a typical well seasoned Cub fan) I must begin looking a bright side. I know what mine are…what are your silver linings??
It's gotta be Tim Hosley or George Mitterwald. I guess it could be Larry Cox or Steve Swisher, but I think they were a little later, IIRC. Wow, I got a bizzarely good memory for worthless crap. I looked it up...I'm shocked that I got the year correct! The cather was Tom Lundstedt...who ever that was. And Tim McCarver was the batter who started the play. http://www.baseballlibrary.com/baseballlibrary/ballplayers/A/Alexander_Matt.stm
Maybe it's the recency effect, but the play that best embodies this year is the Barrett Dropped Third Strike/Blown Rundown: So close, yet so far. I've only seen that once before. 1974. I was 11 years old. Cubs-Cards. Cubs has Ted Simmons in a run down between third and home. Can't recall the Cubs cathcer, but he chased Simmons back toward third then tossed to Matt Alexander (3B). Simmons turned back oward home to see nobody there. Alexander was very fast dude, but couldn't catch Simmons (and his long hair of the era) before he scored. Brickhouse and Kim West almost had a stroke.
In addition to everything else stated here, it is also the cnterfield camera angle most teams use in there TV coverage. Most often, the camera sets up to the third base side the pitcher. That angle makes lefties to appear to have a more pronounced sweep on breaking pitches. Hat
I'm going for a run...feel free to pick of the baton on Morgan Score Board. If I don't drop dead for heat, I'll be back in time for the 1-2-3 bottom of the 9th.

TOP OF THE SIXTH INNING Stupid Morgan Statements = 3 Over/Under = 6 #1 - "...as a lead off hitter, you have to think like a leadoff hitter" #2 - "...Neifi's having a fabulous season!" #3 - "...the ball is carrying well tonight" #4 - "...Would you rather have your offense generating the best possible numbers or the pitching staff say, you know, down the stretch?" (based on stunning use of syntax)
