Scouting report on McBride: Strengths: Smart and a hard worker...Outstanding awareness and instincts...Real tough and physical...A solid tackler...Good strength for his size...Really knows the game and studies it...Does a great job in zone coverage...Has lots of experience in the SEC. Weaknesses: Shorter than you would prefer...Could stand to bulk up a bit...Not a great athlete and his timed speed is below average...Does not have very good quickness or a burst...Will struggle to turn and run with pro wideouts...Hands are questionable. Notes: A nice college player who just lacks the ideal physical tools and measurables that you look for...Best fit at the next level might come in a Cover 2 scheme...Definitely profiles as more of a backup...Could earn a roster spot based on his intangibles.

I hope someone takes Xzavie Jackson from Missouri. He could play LB in a 3-4, or he plays DE. He has tremendous work ethic and is very, very strong. He'd be a good fit in a 3-4 or a defensive line rotation for somebody.

From NFLDraftCountdown.com: Strengths: Has very good size and terrific bulk...Excellent natural athlete who is more quick than fast...Does a very nice job versus the run...Good hands and ball skills...Still improving and has a lot of upside...Top intangibles...Has special teams potential. Weaknesses: Still very raw...Needs to work on his technique and the fundamentals...Is not a great tackler...Does not have elite speed and plays slow because he isn't very instinctive...Does not recover well from mistakes...Really struggles in coverage. Notes: Played running back for the first half of his career and he only made the move to defense in 2005...More of an in-the-box type...Might only project to be a backup and special teamer at the next level...A project and long-term developmental guy. Doesn't impress me at all.

Good for him. He played DE in college, and he was a stud before he broke his hip (leg?) last year. His junior year he led the Big 12 in sacks, and if he didn't get hurt this year he would've been a Day 1 pick.

Man I'm happy the Bears got Beekman...I was kind mad when we passed on him in round 3. Nice steal, Angelo.

I'd like to see the Bears do some work to the OL and maybe land a late WR or something. I'd also like to see if a Mizzou guy or two could get drafted.

Either Jackson or OG Josh Beekman. I think Pittman is a home run pick though.

I'm going to be absolutely stupefied when the Packers get Moss for a 4th round pick but the Seahawks had to give up a first rounder to get Branch earlier in the year.

Baltimore takes Yanda. That's who I wanted the Bears to take, but I'd be happy with Beekman.

Lets hope Angelo can make up for that last pick. Hard to speculate this early on an unheard of defensive player when Angelo is involved.
