  1. If it's worth acheiving...... it's never easy !!!
  2. Thanx for that, too !! Now I'm really curious, 'cause I encountered a truck in a truck stop the other day. It was marked Byfuglien Trucking out of Roseau, MN. Hmmm, I wonder ??? Curious about what? Minnesota is full of Scandinavians. Even being full of Scandinavians, there can't be many Byfugliens in Roseau that aren't related to each other. Actually, there's 81 Byfugliens listed in Minnesota. 65-70 of them are in Roseau.

The only 3 players that have shown any propensity to drive in runs, Baker, Nady, & Hill, are all bench jockeys. Yes, there are sample size issues here, but the whole damned team is in a slump..... as evidenced by the rousing 3.48 runs per game we scored over this period and the .100 drop in team OPS. I find it real hard to fault Lou, or any manager, for shaking this lineup up, or even turning it upside down, in the SHORT TERM. Don't confuse that in any way with a LONG TERM solution. Benching Soto in the LONG TERM is simply insane, and , as much as some here you would like to think that Lou Piniella suffers from some form of dementia, even he knows better than this. If Lou wants to platoon these guys for a while, at least until Soto gets his OPS back above Koyie Hill levels, and he will, I don't have a problem with that. If Soto were giving us that .800 OPS that some keep crowing about, fine.... but he is not.
  21. CUBS are 0-10 when they trail by 3 runs or more at the end of the 8th inning.... Go CUBS !!
  22. CUBS with double digit hits in back to back games for the first time since 07-08 May in Cincinnati. Go CUBS !!
  23. Did we just give up 11 baserunners in 5.3 innings to a team with a .289 OBP ??? :banghead:
