  1. CUBS are 7-3 when the opponent steals a base.... 4-4 when they don't Go CUBS !!
  2. Cubs = more important than the marriage Hey.... I'm on my second marriage, but still on my first baseball team. Priorities, man !!
  3. It's OK to kill the messenger! Aww Bruce..... we haven't killed anybody all day !!! Sheesh
  4. Youre' right on the first one, but with 2+ walks, it is 10-3 & 1-4.
  5. And according to the chart, we NEVER came back last year after 7 innings when trailing by 3 runs or more.... Of course, we never faced such a depleted team last year either... So, Fred, when was the last time the Cubs came back after 7 innings when trailing by 3 runs or more...? I've only got this data on file going back to last year. I really don't know.
  6. Truly classic.
  7. Neifi's been in a real funk (even for him) the last 10 days or so....... 04/12 - 04/24 AB R H 2B 3B HR TB RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS Perez 22 1 2 1 0 0 3 1 0 4 0.091 0.091 0.136 0.227 I say the trend is going to continue for a while..... so put me down for 61. And Welcome to the Board !!!
  8. Not to be nitpicky again Fred, but the first stat you have shows the Cubs having played 20 games and the second you have shows we have only played 17 games. The Cubs have played 18 games. Like last time, I may be misinterpreting your stats. Definitely looks like a bug in the program. Oh well..... back to old drawing board. edit: seems like both stats should be 10-3 and 1-4. Now, to find where bug is !!!
  9. Hahahahahah. Thats actually very strange. CUBS score 5.12 R/G overall.... 8.00 R/G when Marshall pitches Not at all. Why do they ratchet up their scoring for his games? Is it from some unconcious drive to make up for his poor pitching? Is that why whenever Zambrano starts the Cubs put up crap for runs ? They feel too secure in his pitching? Nah... Actually, Zambrano's run support before tonight's game was 2/3 of a run greater than the team's average output. (5.75 R/G to 5.12). In any case, it's an abberation. It has more to do with a myriad of ofther factors, most notably the lack of a substantial sample size. Over time, it usually evens out.

  19. Double Steal with two really fast baserunners? What kind of an arm does this kid Treanor have ? Anybody know ? It's about 1.5 times as long as his torso, an dit has a hand and 5 fingers on the end. That's 8 years of college at work my friend. That's about as helpful as a pay toilet in a diarreah ward, no? Doesn't that describe any advice/info any doctor has ever given you? Why should I stray from that pattern? Yeah..... point taken.
