I never understand why you would double switch for a pitcher that is only going to pitch an inning. Especially when the game could go to extras and when you are going to use Wood next inning no matter what. The pitcher's spot is due up first now (bottom of the 8th). Without this double switch, Howry would be gone after 2/3 inning. With the double switch, he can stay in and pitch the 9th.
