    The Cubs have been terrible recently at hitting with runners on/in scoring position. The Cubs are 28th in baseball in BA, R and OPS with RISP. Last year we were 4th in all 3 of those categories I think. It's a major major problem and a huge reason why our offense is nowhere near as good as last years. I was talking specifically for the BDI and LOB stats Fred has. BDI is simply RBI - HR, LOB are taken right from the daily box score. If a batter gets on base but doesn't drive in the runner(s) ahead of him, he's not charged with a LOB. Currently the CUBS are sitting at .167 compared to .197, .189, .200, and .184 in the last 4 seasons. I consider anything above .2 to be good. Ramirez' .293 is monster. I've never been able to quantify what league average is because I've never seen LOB totals posted anywhere, and I'll be damned if I'm going to keep them for the whole league.
