  1. Does Grichuk still have to toss the ball to another player to get it to the infield?
  2. Haha [expletive] losers. This isn't college gamday
  3. Catcher is allowed to block plate if the throw takes him there. Stupid rule all around
  4. He needs to not swing at that pitch because it wasn't close to a strike. Yeah looked like he was just trying to make contact. Horrible approach with 1 strike
  5. Throw took him in the baseline. Ugh. Baez needs to elevate there
  6. Pretty impressive schwarbs scored from first there
  7. Had to go look this up - 2001 is the only time that even the top two records came out of the same division. That was the year the A's finished 14 games back with a record of 102-60. 2001, 2007, and 2009* are the only times in the WC era that the top three records even came out of the same league. 2001 Sea 116-46 Oak 112-60 Yankees 95-65 2007 Cle 96-66 Bos 96-66 NYY 94-68 LAA 94-68 2009* NYY 103-59 LAA 97-65 Bos 95-67 *LAD tied for 3rd, so 2009 only sorta counts. Oakland had a brutal 172 game schedule in '01

  9. Question for guys who know, so we paid this kid what a million signing bonus? Was he throwing harder in High School? 89-91 seems kinda slow for such a high pick. Thats what he threw in hs last year. 17 yr old kid so he should get alot stronger. 6'8" 220 means he has room to grow. Plus his cb is supposed to be his best pitch
  10. Who would have more trade value right now, Almora or McKinney? I'd actually lean towards almora because of the position and overall upside
  11. Honestly didn't know Franco was having that type of year. KB should run away with it down the stretch imo
  12. I got this info from my uncle who could or could not be delusional and blasted but he said a Dbacks reporter said Cubs have been in involved in talks regarding Ziegler/DeLaRosa
  13. see him walk 7 batters per 9 innings pitched? no thanks. He wouldn't be put in tight games. Better yet, he wouldn't be throwing 87 with no life. walking nearly a batter an inning is still a problem regardless of the score of the baseball game that you're pitching in. Like to see Bosio work with him. I'll take upside, intriguing arm that may struggle over an aging vet who should've retired in the off season any day
  14. Precisely. Should have thrown him nothing but breaking balls. Soriano has one of those breaking balls that doesn't break
  15. see him walk 7 batters per 9 innings pitched? no thanks. He wouldn't be put in tight games. Better yet, he wouldn't be throwing 87 with no life.
  16. Soriano is done. Much rather see Edwards
  17. Bryant was laying off those pitches before
  18. Next closer please Joe, Motte has been decent but I dont trust him to hold anything in a tight spot
