Eh I don't think they'd have kept him Interesting thought, actually, if the rays had an absolute stud like pujols, what would happen? We may find out soon with Delmon. Speaking as someone who knows very little about the minor leagues (and essentially nothing about minor leaguers in the cubs system you guys don't talk about), you think there's a chance this guy could be a perennial top 3 hitter/top 10 hitter if he's at a premium defensive position? I mean, statistically you can't have people like that more than a couple of times a decade Delmon will play RF, so not a premium defensive position. Pujols is almost a certain hall of fame player if he stays healthy, so I'm not going to predict that kind of success for Delmon. But he's the best hitting prospect in the minors, so it wouldn't suprise me to see him eventually develop into a top 10 offensive force. Right now he doesn't have that kind of plate discipline, though. Time to add him to the list then. Is he expected to make the team next year?
