  1. No Z and Cotts did. Z didn't pitch in the 8th
  2. ok, you know the homer is coming after that play
  3. well this will tie the game up quickly
  4. Well there's something you don't see every day
  5. by the way, Wow at all the lies involved in the story Len just told.
  6. recommended to all My wife had never seen a baseball game until 4 years ago(on tv), but she can name most of the managers and a fair number of GMs in the NL, knows all the common acronyms and some of the less common (EQA, etc) ones, and knows why, say, I hate the Padres so much. They can be educated.
  7. Since Dusty isn't our manager, you won't remember that AB (not that I blame you. walks are boring, if good)
  8. You can't blame him after that first "strike"
  9. what was strike one to soto, 8" outside?
  10. Yeah, well, after living through the '84 debacle trust me I would rather have won. Yes, and to the person who asked about how I'd feel if we had won in 1984: At least I'd remember winning a world series. I'm sure that would really make a big difference in how you feel about this team. Remembering a world series from when you were 8. well, I don't care nearly as much about the Bears winning a Superbowl as I do about a cubs WS, and that was 22 years ago. (and I'm a bigger football fan than baseball)

  12. What? You do realize a rundown has taken way too long when the batter makes it to 2nd, right? When it's soto and ramirez and a runner with decent speed, your odds of getting that right aren't very good Rundowns should really only take two throws if it's done right. except, you know, when you have conditions like I described.

  14. Lou should impose a $5,000 fine for every fastball Young is thrown by a Cubs pitcher. He should never see a fastball in any situation EVER. I don't have a problem if you're ahead in the count and throw it well out of the strikezone
  15. It only took like 4 HR and some other RBIs, but maybe they've learned to not throw him fastballs
  16. Holy crap, lily got a hti, stole a base, and scored a run
  17. Soriano was not running quickly there. (no, not saying he was slacking, just slow)
  18. by the way, baby swings are the best invention ever.
