  1. He tried to field a ball on the ground thinking it was going to bounce into his glove. It didn't bounce nearly high enough and he ran right past it as it continued into LF
  2. Wow. Fukudome was safe by a huge amount. The ball was about 8 feet from the bag when he was on it. Len called it "one of the worst calls I've ever seen"
  3. Pics please? you don't want them. it would not be a good brothel
  4. Very weird that they'd start the game now with the rain only set to get heavier
  5. Radar looks like we're going to have a couple of hours of rain
  6. The person holding up the "Hey WGN, put me on TV!" sign who couldn't be seen because they were too short... heh
  7. Yes, Bob, I'm sure Manny was just tired from playing too much baseball
  8. walk him or hit him well, that works too
  9. Followed by getting a basehit UP the middle. :D He got lucky and failed to pull it like he was trying. But I won't complain about good luck It looked like he shortened up his swing on that one, actually. But he was still trying to get around on a pitch that was at the far edge of his range
  10. Fontenot is short, but not 3' short, ump
  11. Followed by getting a basehit UP the middle. :D He got lucky and failed to pull it like he was trying. But I won't complain about good luck
  12. And Soriano takes a fastball down the middle ](*,)
  13. Zambrano threw about 2 strikes that inning
  14. I was going to comment on how he was helping Z by swinging at balls, then I remembered who was batting
  15. It really looks like Theriot is throwing changeups out there
  16. I guess it wouldn't have been a surprise if I'd thought about it before, but the golf endorsement amounts were interesting. A sport played by people old enough to have money that requires hundreds or thousands of dollars of equipment for each participant. Also, saying that it took until the 2007 season to think that Zito's contract was bad is ridiculous. It's so bad that I remember where I was when I heard about it (waiting to be seated at the Nick's Fish Market on Maui) and how I reacted (laughter)
  17. You'd think batting behind Soriano would have lead to Theriot not swinging at that pitch
