  1. Careful. The new regime is likely to go apecrap over such shenanigans, what with them hating fun and all. Huh? Guh? Zah? Whu? "FTH" is often an acronym standing for "blank the hell?". I'll let you use your imagination as to what "blank" stands for. Given the recent (somewhat vague) pledges by the mods to crack down on "swearing," someone might get all up in Derwood's shiznit for fake-swearing. Hmmmm
  2. It's amazing how a span of 5 games in the middle of the season can cause so much doubt about our season. Though im guilty myself. However we still have: Arguably the best pitching staff in baseball. -3rd in NL ERA -Potential of 5, 10 game winners -4th in MLB in BAA (.245) -A rested closer with 4.23 K/BB 11.08 K/9 1HR .201 BA -Carlos Marmol -A Healthy Rich Harden Arguably one of the deepest lineups in baseball. -.278 Team BA (4th in MLB) -.355 Team OBP (2nd in MLB) -.794 Team OPS (3rd in MLB) -All this missing Soriano for half the games played. Take a deep breath, and say something positive.
  3. 4-day timeout for you. *Throws base, kicks hat*
  4. I much rather Soriano get a game or two in the minors before being activated. I want Soriano back at 100%, not 85%. I saw soriano warming up before the sunday game in Houston. He looked good. Quade was hitting him some flyballs and his throws were strong home and he was moving well on the bases. Also during BP he was driving the ball well.
  5. Ichiro always seemed to strike me as that distant, brilliant person with an amazing sense of humor. This just confirms it.
  6. Meh Sabathia threw 122 yesterday That just means that Sheets should throw 130 just to show up the new guy. Heck, make it 150. the brewers probably don't care now about long term effects of high pitch counts for sheets and sabathia, given that they most likely won't re-sign either one at the end of the year....if both of those guys make it through the rest of the season without DL stints, i'll be amazed. You'd think they'd pay attention to how much Sabathia wore down last year in the playoffs. This is what Im thinking. Didnt he have an 8 something era for the playoffs last year? Edit.
